Verizon activates 150,000 Geotab fleet management devices
October 21, 2015
In the nine months to June this year, Verizon activated 150,000 Geotab GO7 connected devices designed to maximise fleet efficiency. The figures demonstrate the increasing rate of take up of IoT and M2M devices within commercial haulage and logistics fleets in North America.
The GO7 was introduced by Canadian transportation and fleet management technology company Geotab in 2014. It is designed to report in real time on fleet vehicle efficiency and ensure that fleet operational costs are minimised while effectiveness is maximised.
On average, around 600 million telematics data points are collected each day on the MyGeotab analytics cloud platform.
