Telit module supports CBRS private networks

Telit’s LM960A PCI Express Mini Card (mPCIe) family is available in a version supporting the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) to applications that can benefit from private networking, such as warehousing, industrial manufacturing, and public and enterprise venues.
 
The module provides the CBRS market with an LTE-Advanced product to foster the deployment of IoT devices on private LTE CBRS networks. It is hardware and software compatible with the LM960A18. With full industrial temperature range, it is suitable for high data rate applications, including industrial gateways, enterprise routers and CPEs, high-resolution video cameras, and bandwidth intensive industrial sensors such as infra-red, x-ray and ultrasound imagers.
 
The private LTE LM960A9-P version can operate in the CBRS band 48 for the US market and in band 42 and 43 for other markets. The LM960A modules also provide a 5G evolution path to Telit’s FN980m 5G sub-6GHz and mm-wave data card, helping OEMs develop products for the CBRS market.
 
The 1Gbit/s-class LTE-Advanced category 18 mPCIe module supports CBRS band 48 (3.55GHz). Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X20 LTE modem, it has up to 1.2Gbit/s download and 150Mbit/s upload speeds. This makes it suitable for bandwidth-intensive CBRS applications such as enterprise routers and gateways, HD and 4K video, and software-defined wide-area networks (SD-WANs). It is certified for major mobile network operators in North America as well as others worldwide.

CBRS is a spectrum-sharing concept backed by US regulators and government agencies that can support the expansion of 4G and 5G into new consumer and industrial applications. CBRS devices operate in 150MHz of prime mid-band spectrum in the 3.55GHz band for private LTE and 5G use.
