Tangoe expands logistics for MMS

Connecticut based IT provider Tangoe is expanding its logistics centre in Austin, Texas to serve increasing demand for managed mobility services. A specialist in telecom expense management and managed mobility services, Tangoe plans to increase its logistics transactions from 10,000 to 50,000 per month, providing clients with scale and a faster time to market when deploying and repairing mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, IoT devices and other IT assets.
With the expanded facility, Tangoe has the scale to do large equipment refreshes, as well as on-site rapid repairs and device replenishments, enabling a one-stop shop for clients. The facility handles both forward logistics – where fully programmed devices customized to a particular customer’s requirements are processed and shipped as soon as overnight – and reverse logistics – where damaged or non-functional equipment can be replaced with exact replicates in the same rapid time frame.
Tangoe’s global MMS solution is described as fully integrated and designed to optimize and manage the complete lifecycle of enterprise mobility including planning, activation, tracking, securing, supporting, and retiring the mobile fleet.
Building on Tangoe’s telecom expense management capabilities, the expanded facility provides clients with what Tangoe describes as a holistic approach to managing their mobile estate, from deployment to recycle and repair.
