SC-Integrity and Moog partner to provide supply chain visibility service
August 25, 2015
SC-Integrity (LoJack SCI) and Moog Crossbow have announced a cooperative effort to provide a global supply chain information and visibility service to major shippers of goods.
Texas-based LoJack SCI supplies supply chain visibility and tracking systems. Moog Crossbow is the California-based smart sensor technology division of Moog, a designer, manufacturer and integrator of precision motion control products and systems.
The parties will provide sensing and determination of product integrity as it moves through air transit required transport. The turnkey, managed service programme will be offered on a per trip charge basis without the need to purchase any hardware and will include monitoring, tracking and feedback services to assure that high value, critical goods in transit are protected and meet specified regulatory shipping requirements.
"We understand that the condition sensitive market has requirements which are much more stringent than general cargo transport, and our partnership with Moog Crossbow brings a quantum leap in our ability to bring solutions that are comprehensive and address all risk factors in this specialised market," said Ted Wlazlowski, president and CEO, LoJack SCI. “However, we, also, address the need for general supply chain visibility throughout sophisticated supply chain movements that involve air shipments.”
Moog Crossbow's ILC 2000 asset and sensing product, with its air transit compliant capabilities will provide real-time information to LoJack SCI's SC iOn Command web portal monitoring system and the LoJack SCI round-the-clock monitoring team will ensure that sensitive shipment protocols are maintained and that a wide range of compliance requirements are assured.
The two companies have agreed to offer this service globally in both cold chain and general cargo tracking requirements that are air transit denominated.
"We see the addition of LoJack SCI's managed cargo tracking and monitoring services to be a logical extension to Moog Crossbow's promise of what we design and recommend for our clients," said Roger Shuler, business unit director of Moog Crossbow. “By having an on-board environmental monitoring technology to assure that critical-to-quality parameters are carefully monitored and carrier quality agreements are rigorously enforced, we can provide management information that will be both valuable and compliance supportive. With a real-time feedback loop, we will provide continuous updates on status, which will serve as the basis for continuous improvement in validated supply chain networks, in general, and cold chain logistics networks, specifically.”
The companies will provide seamless turnkey service bundles, alleviating customers from having to construct extensive visibility, protection and compliance monitoring programmes.
