SAP Ariba helps NTT Data monitor global shipments

Japanese system integration company NTT Data is to use SAP Ariba’s platform to let buyers connected to the Ariba Network monitor global shipments in real time. This will be done through a portal that is continually refreshed with information on the status of each shipment and can provide proactive notification of delays.
Using this, buyers can gain clear visibility into potential supply chain disruptions and mitigate their impact.
Commerce today is more global than ever, and transportation and logistics have become increasingly complicated, as getting things from point A to B now typically spans several continents and involves several providers. NTT Data is out to simplify this process by teaming with SAP Ariba.

The open partner ecosystem is designed to drive the speed and innovation that companies need to do business in today’s digital economy by providing a secure platform from which companies can create dynamic business services and quickly deliver them to customers around the world.
Companies can use standards based open APIs to extend SAP Ariba services and take advantage of pre-built products made available by SAP Ariba partners. They can also access self-service capabilities to create unique experiences.
