Samsung Electronics has revealed its latest line-up of Galaxy wearables including an activity tracker. The Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Fit e and Galaxy Buds cord-free earbuds are made for a range of lifestyles.
For everyone from life balance seekers to those who are looking for extra motivation, the South Korean company says its wearables make pursuing wellness goals convenient, stylish and fun.
"Consumers are increasingly putting their overall wellbeing at the centre of their lifestyle decisions, and they're looking for wearables that make it easier to get active and stay balanced every day," said DJ Koh, president and CEO of Samsung’s IT and mobile communications division. "Everyone has their own way of pursuing their goals. We're thrilled to introduce our new line of wearables to fit seamlessly into your life and complement your own personal wellness journey."
For fashion-forward consumers who want to live actively each day, Galaxy Watch Active comes with a sporty design that is thin, light and versatile. It auto-detects when the wearer runs, bikes, rows, uses the elliptical trainer or starts a dynamic workout. Users can manually engage in more than 39 activities, set daily goals and monitor progress.
It is compatible with Android and iOS and offers real-time coaching, indoor and outdoor activity tracking and features third-party apps, including Under Armour, Spotify and Strava. Voice can be used to control Galaxy Watch Active with Bixby's voice capabilities that let users make calls or send messages without picking up the phone.
Made for all types of fitness enthusiasts, from casual runners to athletes, Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e support active lifestyles. With thin, lightweight bodies, they are easy to style and comfortable to wear all week long.
They enable easy and intuitive tracking to help wearers reach their fitness goals. They automatically start tracking activity when the wearer walks, runs, bikes, rows, hops on the elliptical trainer or starts a general dynamic workout. Users can also manually select from more than 90 different activities in the Samsung Health app on a smartphone, and they will automatically start to track the chosen workout.
Wearers can receive alerts and messages or check the widget, which includes information synced straight from a smartphone such as alarm, calendar or weather without touching the phone. When the wearer travels to a new time zone, Galaxy Fit automatically displays a dual-clock watch face. Both devices are water resistant to 5ATM, so they can easily go with the wearer from the shower to the pool to the rest of their day.
Galaxy Buds are cord-free earbuds for those who want a seamlessly connected experience on the go. Enhanced ambient sound allows users to control what they hear while the buds are in their ears, so they can remain aware of their environment while they take a phone call or listen to their favourite tunes. The adaptive dual microphone uses one inner microphone and one outer microphone in each earbud, so users can deliver their voice clearly in loud and quiet environments.
