Pod Group expands into Asia Pacific

At this week’s CommunicAsia show in Singapore, Pod Group announced it had opened a regional office in Hong Kong to offer IoT connectivity options across the Apac region.
 
UK-based Pod Group provides platforms, software and connectivity services for IoT and connected enterprises. As part of its launch in the Asian market, Pod Group’s IoT connectivity division, PodM2M, exhibited at CommunicAsia, where it introduced a complete Apac IoT connectivity offering, with coverage on all networks plus IoT security and billing from one centralised platform. 
 
The inauguration of the Hong Kong office follows the launch in May of the Mexican and Nicaraguan offices and allows Pod to offer a global service to its customers. As well as round-the-clock emergency support service, customer account managers will be available 24 hours from the different global offices, which also include teams in the UK, Spain and USA. 
 
The Apac multi-network offering being presented at CommunicAsia allows flat-rate roaming throughout Asia on one IoT SIM card which connects to the best signal on device start-up and automatically switches network if the signal is lost. The SIM also includes Pod’s multi-IMSI applet, which allows it to be updated over the air as pricing and coverage change, suitable for future-proofing remote and mission critical applications that are difficult to access.
 
Pod’s network security suite for mission critical applications and centralised management and billing via one platform complete the offering.
