In a bid to improve data analytics for its Asia-Pacific customers, Kuehne + Nagel has upgraded the infrastructure and expanded its logistics team at its Logistics Control Centre in Singapore.

The control centre offers integrated logistics services for the fulfilment of customers’ orders across international supply chains. To simplify complexity and to meet customers’ requirements for lean, agile and demand-driven supply chains, dedicated teams for contract management, continuous improvement, logistics partner management and customer data analytics closely collaborate in a shared environment.

“The Singapore Logistics Hub is part of Kuehne + Nagel’s regional strategy to provide end-to-end supply chain capabilities to support customers through Asia’s dynamic logistics market,” said Jens Drewes, president for south Asia Pacific at Kuehne + Nagel. “By locating the Logistics Control Centre in the Singapore Logistics Hub, we can increase synergies and strengthen our hub concept to provide a one-stop solution to customers.”

The upgraded infrastructure is designed to create an environment that fosters and facilitates team collaboration to drive services such as request and exception management, visibility and event monitoring, order management, transport management, freight settlement, business systems support, as well as report and performance management.

Tobias Jerschke, global head of integrated logistics, added: “The enhanced Logistics Control Centre in Singapore underlines Kuehne + Nagel’s commitment to provide modular, value-added logistics management services across supply chains and further strengthens our growing worldwide network of integrated logistics control centres, consisting of six strategic locations across the globe currently.”

With more than 67,000 employees, Switzerland-based Kuehne + Nagel is represented at more than 1200 locations in over 100 countries.
