Telecom Personal, Jasper to roll out M2M offering in Argentina
December 18, 2014
Argentina’s Telecom Personal has unveiled plans to ramp up its M2M and Internet of Things offerings for enterprise customers in the country in partnership with M2M platform provider Jasper.
The company – which operates Argentina’s biggest mobile network – says its partnership with Jasper (Mountain View, CA, USA) will give enterprise customers a highly scalable platform to launch, manage and monetize their services globally.
It plans to develop what it describes as a “turnkey solution” for customers that can easily be configured for needs of specific industries and business models.
That should enable organizations to “go rapidly to market and scale as they grow”, said Telecom Personal (Buenos Aires, Argentina) in a statement.
The solution it is developing with Jasper is designed to give businesses real-time control over and visibility of their connected devices network, as well as the mobile service management, support diagnostics and flexible billing required to grow their connected services businesses.
“Connectivity is transforming lives, within business as well as on a personal level,” said Patricio Cassain, the manager of strategy, innovation and development for Telecom Personal.
“Partnering with the leaders in IoT is a good opportunity for our enterprise customers,” he added. “We need to know that we’re offering the best choice to them, and that’s why we’ve chosen Jasper as our connectivity platform.”
Jasper says its IoT platform will allow enterprises to quickly and cost-effectively implement their IoT initiatives.
“Personal has identified the IoT growth opportunity for their customers and has put significant energy into developing innovative service offerings for diverse vertical markets,” said Ken Laversin, the global vice president of sales at Jasper. “We value Personal´s nimbleness, innovation capacity and focus to address customers’ needs.”
“Together, we will enable enterprise customers to deploy IoT services profitably and at scale,” he added.
