Heinz shows variety in supply chain tracking

US food giant Kraft Heinz is adopting real-time supply chain tracking and analytics to predict shipment arrival times, track load temperatures and analyse transportation operations.
The technology comes from FourKites, a Chicago-based supply chain visibility and predictive analytics platform with a network of more than four million GPS-connected assets. It is providing real-time freight tracking and monitoring across the supply chain.
As the fifth largest food and beverage company in the world, Kraft Heinz needed a global enterprise-grade visibility and temperature monitoring platform that could deliver predictive insights, and be implemented quickly.

FourKites is providing real-time tracking and predictive arrival times across transportation modes for Kraft Heinz, relaying GPS data on shipments moving by truck, train and parcel. Kraft Heinz is also using temperature tracking to monitor shipment temperatures in real time.
With FourKites' analytics, Kraft Heinz will be able to identify insights on key business drivers such as dwell times at delivery locations, and customer, carrier and lane analytics to drive decisions proactively.
