CyPhy, Pilot Thomas, develop drone logistics for oil, gas

Massachusetts based aerial robots and UAV specialist CyPhy Works, Inc and oilfield specialist Pilot Thomas Logistics are partnering to provide Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to customers in the oil and gas industry. The new service will use CyPhy's Persistent Aerial Reconnaissance and Communications (PARC) system.

Founded in 2008 as The Droid Works, CyPhy Works provides persistent aerial reconnaissance and communications vehicles, and Pocketflyer which fits into a cargo pocket. It provides aerial robots and UAVs to the oil, gas, agriculture and mining industries.

Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Pilot Thomas Logistics is a provider of fuel, lubricants and chemicals to the energy, marine, mining and industrial markets throughout North America. Pilot Thomas Logistics' delivers logistics solutions with 1,500 specialised trucks and trailers, 30 marine barges and vessels, and a network of fuel and lubricant terminals, storage, equipment and warehouses.
