French technology company Oberthur Technologies has teamed up with software player V3D to help mobile operators analyze and improve the quality of service experienced by customers, including users of M2M and Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

The organizations say the extensive use of new connected devices and the arrival of technologies such as LTE is putting additional pressure on operators in this area.

The partnership they have formed combines their customer-experience monitoring technologies, marrying Oberthur’s (Levallois-Perret, France) smart monitoring service with V3D’s (Lyon, France) Equal One solution.

The aim is to provide mobile operators with an accurate picture of the coverage, call data status, data, browsing, applications and streaming experiences of consumers in real time.

They say the solution is not limited to consumers’ devices but also covers M2M experience capabilities.

“Along with the quality and continuity of service monitoring capabilities already provided by our smart monitoring solution, this partnership with V3D allows us to supply our customers with exclusive and meaningful source of QoE data directly from any customers’ devices and SIM cards on the market,” said Marek Juda, the managing director of the solutions business unit at Oberthur.

“Thanks to this solution mobile operators can easily gain a better understanding of their customers’ problems and expectations in order to improve the quality of end-user experience,” added Juda.

V3D claimed the partnership would help operators to strengthen their existing embedded solutions to better serve and satisfy customers.
