Scandinavian M2M player Telenor Connexion has flagged a partnership with Finland’s Haltian that will cater to the growing demand for connected business solutions in the Finnish, Baltic and Russian markets.

Haltian (Oulu, Finland) says it can design and develop any kind of connected device – combining miniaturized mechanics with sensors and radio technology – and believes the tie-up with connectivity provider Telenor Connexion (Stockholm, Sweden) is ideally placed to help businesses in the region “realize the value of connected services”.

The companies say that connected services will open up new opportunities for organizations to increase efficiency and revenue – and introduce smarter ways of working – with the overall objective of remaining competitive.

“Our partnership provides companies in these markets with the connected solutions, tools and support needed to advance in today’s increasingly competitive market, where being connected gets you ahead of the game,” says Pasi Leipala, the chief executive of Haltian. “By partnering with Telenor Connexion we can provide our customers with a complete offering including cloud services.”

The collaboration will see Telenor Connexion combine its connectivity expertise with Haltian’s design and hardware skills to offer customers an end-to-end service, including hardware, software, design and operations.

“This partnership supports our push into new markets and strengthens our presence in the Nordic region,” said Fredrik Akerlind, the vice president of sales at Telenor Connexion. “Like Telenor Connexion, Haltian is a fast-growing entrepreneurial company with a can do attitude.”

“We believe this will be a mutually beneficial and rewarding relationship that will benefit the customers and our companies alike,” he added.
