BehrTech adds AWS support to LPWAN software
July 22, 2020
Canadian firm BehrTech has introduced the latest version of Mythings Central LPWAN software and added Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Cumulocity support for massive sensor data aggregation.
Mythings Central 3.0 is the latest version of the network and device management software for low-power wide area networks leveraging Mioty. Through its plug-in system and API-driven design, this update includes backend integration with major clouds such as Microsoft Azure, AWS and Cumulocity, as well as other third-party applications and IoT platforms such as Ericsson IoT Accelerator.
Built for integration and interoperability, Mythings Central lets users easily connect, configure and manage thousands of IoT sensors for IoT applications such as infrastructure and facility management, asset monitoring, environmental monitoring, and predictive maintenance. It can be deployed in any environment, whether on the base station, customer premises or the cloud. Its microservices-based architecture delivers built-in security and scalability.
“Mythings Central is a holistic network management tool designed to give our customers the most flexibility and control over their IoT network architecture from end to end,” said Wolfgang Thieme, chief technology officer of BehrTech. “Its modular and vendor independent design provides the ease and global interoperability customers need to build, operate and scale a secure IoT workflow from any endpoint to the network.”
The combination of the Mythings Central ready-to-use and flexible MQTT interface, cloud connectors for Azure, AWS and Cumulocity, and its plug-in architecture let users integrate easily with external systems, third-party applications and IoT platforms. All components are built using standard Docker containers to give the flexibility to build, test and deploy IoT networks in specific environments and according to network needs.
BehrTech provides a wireless connectivity software platform that is purpose-built for massive-scale industrial IoT networks. At the core of the platform is Mioty, a communication technology standardised by Etsi that provides reliable, robust and scalable connectivity. With its approach to interoperability, BehrTech makes it easier for users to retrofit its Mythings platform in any environment and enables partners, system integrators and VARs to deliver integrated IIoT that enables data-driven decisions.
