Avreo lets healthcare leverage IoT and cloud
November 7, 2017
South Carolina-based Avreo has released technology that lets healthcare organisations leverage the power of the IoT and cloud to ensure high availability of their healthcare systems and data without maintaining a vast on-site infrastructure.
Called Capacifi HA, it provides real-time replication, ransomware protection, push button failover and local and cloud restoration. This gives healthcare organisations of all types an added level of data protection, security and availability in an easily deployed package.
Avreo Capacifi HA is available as a stand-alone system to support existing critical healthcare systems or can be directly added to the company's InterWorks RIS and PACS, providing an additional level of availability to this streamlined single database, single application.
"We have found that many healthcare organisations consider only large-scale disasters when planning for their critical healthcare data and systems," said Jonah Still, CTO of Avreo. "However, something as simple as failed internet connectivity or ransomware infection can have a devastating impact on patient care. While high availability is typically a costly, complicated solution available only to organisations with large IT departments, Avreo Capacifi HA IoMT appliance virtualises resources and infrastructure with its hybrid IT design, giving you the best of both worlds."
Capacifi HA is vendor neutral and can support various healthcare systems, including EHR, RIS and PACS, through hyper-convergence technology. It is offered using pay-as-you-go pricing with no upfront fees or contractual commitment.
Founded in 1997, Avreo is a healthcare software provider of a single database complete RIS, PACS and EHR system, cohesively connecting each step in the radiology workflow and improving the overall structure for healthcare organisations. The product line continues to focus on healthcare workflow with the addition of Avreo Cloud VR, Capacifi and other related products.
